1. About FindMeAJob

FindMeAJob.co.nz is operated by FindMeAJob Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand. We provide a free AI-powered career toolkit that helps job seekers find employment and employers post job listings in New Zealand.

By using our website and services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services

FindMeAJob provides the following free services:

3. Free Service

All career tools for job seekers on FindMeAJob.co.nz are provided free of charge. Employer job listings are available under Free, Pro ($29/listing), and Unlimited ($99/month) plans. Payment for Pro and Unlimited plans is processed securely via Stripe. Free plan features will remain free.

4. Employer Pricing, Billing & Refunds

AI hiring briefs are included on every plan, including Free. Every applicant on FindMeAJob arrives with a structured AI hiring brief at no extra cost. Pro and Unlimited plans add volume and workflow features (see below); they do not unlock the brief itself.

Free plan. One active job listing at a time, 15-day listing visibility, AI hiring brief on every applicant, standard applicant list. No charge.

Pro listing — NZ$29 per listing, one-time. A single Pro listing stays live for 30 days with a featured badge and priority placement in AI matches. Once approved by our team (usually within 24 hours), the 30-day clock starts. Pro is a one-off charge per listing — there is no recurring payment.

Unlimited plan — NZ$99 per month. All listings posted while the subscription is active are featured and prioritised. The subscription renews monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Listings posted during an active subscription stay live for their normal 30 days even if the subscription is later cancelled.

GST. Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. FindMeAJob Ltd will add GST at the applicable rate on invoices once we are GST-registered; you will see the GST line on your Stripe receipt when it applies.

Refunds. Pro listings are fully refundable if you request a refund before the listing is approved and goes live. Most listings are approved within 24 hours, so the practical refund window is the time your listing sits in the review queue. Once a listing is approved and live, the Pro fee is non-refundable, but we will work with you to correct any accuracy issues or extend the listing where a genuine technical problem on our side prevented it from performing. For the Unlimited plan, you can cancel at any time; we do not refund partial months, but no further charges will be taken after cancellation. To request a refund, email hello@findmeajob.co.nz with your Stripe receipt and listing title before the listing goes live.

Failed payments. If a payment fails or our payment processor is temporarily unavailable, your listing will not be submitted. We will surface a clear error on screen and you can retry, or email us to post the listing manually.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our tools use artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to generate content including CV rewrites, cover letters, interview questions, career advice, and job matching results. While we strive for accuracy:

5A. AI Hiring Briefs — Employer Responsibilities

If you receive an AI hiring brief alongside a job application, it is a shortlisting aid and not a hiring decision. FindMeAJob's AI organises the candidate's application into a brief; final hiring decisions are made by the employer. By using FindMeAJob as an employer, you agree that:

5B. AI Hiring Briefs — Candidate Responsibilities

When you apply for a job on FindMeAJob, an AI hiring brief is generated from your CV and the job description and sent to the employer with your application.

5C. AI Brief — No Warranty

The AI hiring brief is a shortlisting recommendation generated by an AI model from your CV and the job description. AI organises; final hiring decisions are made by the employer. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, fairness, or suitability of any individual brief. Specifically:

6. Your CV and Personal Data

When you upload your CV for job matching or CV writing:

For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Job Seeker Accounts

You may create a free account to save your profile, receive weekly job alerts, and keep a history of applications you have sent. Accounts are for people of working age; if you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account. You are responsible for:

Passwords are hashed using scrypt cryptographic hashing and are never stored in plaintext. We cannot recover your password — only reset it.

8. Employer Accounts and Job Listings

Employers create free accounts to post job listings. All employer accounts, on every tier, include:

Listing volume and duration depend on the plan you choose, as detailed in Section 4:

Employers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their job listings. All listings are subject to admin review before going live. We reserve the right to reject, modify, or remove any listing at our discretion.

What this board is for. FindMeAJob carries roles needing little or no experience, and we mean something specific by that: up to about two years of work experience, including none at all. A required certificate, licence or ticket does not rule a listing out. Forklift, Site Safe, first aid, a Class 2, food safety, a barista or floristry course, a full or restricted driver licence, or a stated year or two are all in scope, and roles like those do well here. What we cannot serve yet is a role asking for three or more years, a degree or diploma level qualification, or professional registration. If we hold a listing back for that reason we will tell you so plainly, and if you paid for it we will refund it in full.

9. Job Listing Guidelines

All job listings must:

We review every listing before it goes live. Section 67 of the Human Rights Act 1993 makes it unlawful to publish a job advertisement that indicates an intention to discriminate on a prohibited ground, and that applies to us as the publisher as well as to you as the advertiser. So we read each listing before approving it, we will ask you to change or will decline any listing that states or implies a preference based on age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability, religious or ethical belief, marital or family status, sexual orientation, employment status or political opinion, and we will remove such a listing if it is already live. A genuine occupational qualification, where the law allows one, must be stated as the requirement it is rather than as a preference about the person.

Reviewing listings does not make us the employer or a party to your hiring decisions, and it is not a guarantee that a listing complies with the law. You remain responsible for your own advertisement.

10. Applications

When you apply for a job through FindMeAJob.co.nz, your application (cover letter, CV, and contact details) is sent directly to the employer via email. We also keep a copy of the application record (your details, cover letter, CV text and, for a limited period, the AI hiring brief) so the employer can review applicants in their dashboard and so you can look your applications back up. Retention periods are set out in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete your records at any time. The employer is responsible for how they handle your application. We do not guarantee that employers will respond to applications.

11. Job Data from Third Parties

Some job listings displayed on FindMeAJob.co.nz are sourced from Adzuna, a third-party job aggregator. These listings are marked as external and link to the original job posting. We do not control the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party job listings.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

13. Intellectual Property

The FindMeAJob name, logo, and website design are the property of FindMeAJob Ltd. AI-generated content (CVs, cover letters, interview answers, salary scripts, email drafts, and similar tool outputs) created using your input is yours to use freely. You retain all rights to your original CV, personal information, and interview transcripts.

AI hiring briefs. A brief is a derived work generated from your CV and the job description. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to view, download, dispute, and re-use any brief generated about you, including for use in future applications. The employer who receives the brief is granted a non-transferable licence to use it solely to evaluate the applicant for the role applied to (see Section 5A). FindMeAJob retains rights only to the underlying generation system, prompts, audit log, and aggregated, de-identified statistics about brief usage.

Saved tool outputs. Any tool output you save to your profile (transcripts, scores, scripts, drafts, comparisons, etc.) remains yours. We store it on your behalf, do not share it with third parties beyond the AI providers needed to generate it, and delete it when you ask us to. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

14. Limitation of Liability

Your Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act rights are not affected. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any right or remedy you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other New Zealand law where that right cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a job seeker using our free tools, you are a consumer and those guarantees apply to you. Where you are acquiring our services in trade (for example, an employer buying a Pro listing or an Unlimited subscription), sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act and the Consumer Guarantees Act do not apply, and the limits below apply to the extent the law allows.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited, to the extent the law allows, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. For a paid listing, that means at most a refund of the fee you paid for that listing.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if a listing breaches our Job Listing Guidelines, or where we are required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or we must act immediately, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable chance to put it right.

Paid listings. If we remove a live paid listing for a reason that is not your breach of these Terms, we will refund the fee for that listing. If we remove it because it breaches these Terms or our Job Listing Guidelines, no refund is due.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the website. The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last updated.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

18. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at hello@findmeajob.co.nz.
