Professional Vehicle Pickup Ltd is building a network of reliable independent contractor drivers to provide professional vehicle pickup and relocation services throughout the Wellington region.
PVPL is not a vehicle transporter or trucking company. Our service involves drivers safely collecting and driving customer vehicles between agreed locations.
We are looking for people who value professionalism, reliability and care and who want the flexibility of contractor-based work.
The opportunity
As a PVPL contractor driver, you may be offered vehicle pickup and relocation jobs through the PVPL dispatch platform.
Depending on your contractor role, work may include:
• collecting customer vehicles from nominated locations;
• driving vehicles safely to their required destination;
• following job instructions provided through the PVPL application;
• confirming pickup and delivery stages;
• communicating professionally with customers and PVPL;
• completing required vehicle and job checks;
• accurately recording job information where required.
Work is offered according to operational demand and contractor availability.
Who we're looking for
You should:
• hold a current and appropriate New Zealand driver licence;
• have a safe and responsible driving history;
• be comfortable driving different makes and models of vehicles;
• be punctual and dependable;
• communicate clearly and professionally;
• treat customers and their vehicles with care;
• be comfortable using a smartphone-based dispatch/application system;
• be able to work independently and follow PVPL operating procedures.
Previous professional driving, rental-car, automotive, courier, fleet, logistics or customer-service experience is useful, but attitude, reliability and safe driving are equally important.
Driver and Group Driver opportunities
PVPL has different contractor roles.
Driver contractors undertake allocated vehicle pickup and relocation work.
Group Driver contractors may also use an approved and registered vehicle as part of group operations, subject to PVPL's vehicle eligibility and onboarding requirements.
The applicable contractor agreement, remuneration arrangements and operating requirements are provided before activation.
Contractor relationship
This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employment position.
Successful applicants must complete PVPL's contractor application, verification and agreement process before they can be activated to receive work.
Contractors remain responsible for their own obligations as independent contractors, subject to the terms of their PVPL contractor agreement.
