Hold Bay / Forklift Operator - Christchurch

We're looking for a reliable and skilled Hold Bay / Forklift Operator on a six month fixed term basis, potentially long term for the right candidate to join a busy production team in Christchurch. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role - ideal for someone safety-focused, physically fit, and mechanically minded.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate in the sort bay, checking and organising products
• Remove defective items and re-palletise as needed
• Stack, bundle, and prepare goods for dispatch
• Assist with strapping, wrapping, and moving pallets
• Update records by scanning or entering pallet card details
• Support the production team with general labouring tasks

What We're Looking For:

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Team player who can adapt to changing tasks
• Safety-conscious and able to follow Health & Safety procedures

PPE Provided:

• Safety boots, hi-vis clothing, earmuffs, and safety glasses

Requirements:

• Current forklift licence (OSH)
• Proven forklift operating experience in a similar environment - Training can be provided.
• Mechanically minded, able to spot and report issues
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
Good rate plus allowances.
