Landscaper Opportunity
Seeking a landscaper to join the team!
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Landscaper to join the team and assist with landscaping, lawn installation and general outdoor contracting work.
This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in preparing sites, operating machinery, installing ready lawn artificial turf and completing a range of landscaping duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out landscaping and lawn installation work
• Prepare soil and sites ready for lawn and turf installation
• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment, including:
• Front-end loaders
• Excavators
• Tractors
• Forklifts
• Rotary hoes
• Ride-on mowers and other landscaping equipment
• Digging, shovelling and moving soil and materials
• Planting, mulching and preparing garden areas
• Assist with paving, edging and retaining work
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Complete general landscaping and outdoor labouring duties
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area
• Follow all Health & Safety requirements and maintain a high level of machinery awareness
• Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is:
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Practical and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional, conscientious and customer-focused
• Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Previous landscaping, construction or labouring experience is an advantage
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience in landscaping, contracting, construction or a similar environment
• Relevant trade qualification or working towards one is advantageous
• Full NZ Driver Licence — Class 2 or higher preferred
• Experience operating machinery is advantageous
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to organise and complete a variety of tasks efficiently
• Physically capable of lifting and undertaking manual contracting work
