Barista

We’re excited to be opening our brand-new café in Petone and are looking for an experienced and friendly Part-Time Barista to join us from the beginning.

We’re looking for someone who has:
• 1–2 years of barista experience
• Confidence making a full range of espresso coffees
• Good milk steaming and latte art skills
• Excellent customer service
• A friendly and positive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work independently when required
• Willingness to help with cabinet food, serving, cleaning and general café duties

This is a great opportunity to join a new café from opening day and help us create a welcoming experience for our customers.

📍 Location: Jackson Street, Petone
⏰ Position: Part-Time
☕ Experience: 1–2 years preferred
📅 Weekday and weekend availability preferred

Petone

• Make espresso drinks (flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, etc.) consistently and with care
• Take orders and serve customers at the counter and tables
• Keep the espresso machine and cafe equipment clean and well-maintained
• Help with food prep, plating cakes, and keeping the cabinet stocked
• Work the till and handle cash and card payments
• Tidy up your station and help with closing duties

• About 1–2 years' barista or similar customer service experience
• Comfortable using an espresso machine and steam wand
• Friendly attitude and good energy with customers
• Ability to work as part of a small team
• Reliable and willing to pick up shifts
